Can You Ship 50 to 100 Orders a Month Without a Minimum Commitment?

Yes. With Shadowfax 360 (SF360) platform, you can start with your first shipment without committing to a monthly parcel volume. Whether you send 50 or 100 orders a month, we have no minimum order commitment.

Four Entry Terms to Check Before Your First Dispatch

A courier that accepts 50 to 100 orders a month can still ask for money before your first pickup, so check four entry terms with every provider you shortlist.

Shadowfax 360 (SF360) platform solves it for any small seller: there is no minimum order commitment, so you can begin with your first shipment and pay for bookings from a shipping wallet you top up yourself.

  • Volume acceptance: Must you commit to a monthly parcel count to open an account or receive the quoted rates?
  • Setup payment: Is there a one-time account setup or activation charge?
  • Recurring platform fee: Does a monthly subscription apply, even in a month when you ship only a few parcels?
  • Wallet funding: What minimum balance must you add before booking? A prepaid balance is not itself a shipping fee, but money held there is unavailable for stock until you use or withdraw it under the provider's terms.

Maintain proper documentation from every provider on your shortlist.

How an Account on Shadowfax 360 Works

In Shadowfax 360, you pay for shipping as you book it. You register with your email, add your business details, complete KYC with GST or Aadhaar, connect your Shopify or WooCommerce store if you sell through one, and add funds to your shipping wallet. Each booking is then charged at the zone-based rate for that parcel, starting at ₹39* for eligible shipments, with no volume commitment behind it. For a seller with little cash to spare, that keeps the money you set aside tied to the parcels you actually plan to send.

  • Who can sign up: Registered e-commerce, D2C and small businesses. Shadowfax 360 is not for personal courier bookings.
  • No Upfront Fees: There are no setup payments or recurring platform fees with Shadowfax 360.
  • Wallet: Shipping charges are deducted from the balance as you book. Money still in the wallet is not a shipping cost, but it is cash you can't spend on stock, so top up for the parcels you expect to send.
  • Pricing: One rate per delivery zone instead of weight slabs, starting at ₹39 for eligible shipments. Your rate depends on the zone and service conditions, so price your own parcels rather than assuming ₹39*.
  • COD and returns: We charge zero cash-on-delivery (COD) fees and no extra cost for return to origin (RTO), when an undelivered parcel comes back to you, for eligible shipments under our current platform terms. COD payouts are D+2: two business days after successful delivery, subject to banking timelines.
  • Pickup: Free doorstep pickup from your store, warehouse or home, where pickup is serviceable for your address.

What "No Minimum Commitment" Covers and What to Check per Route

With Shadowfax 360 (SF360), no minimum means a slow month of 12 parcels breaks no volume commitment with us. Every parcel you book is still paid from your wallet, and each route still has to be serviceable. Our network reaches 16,372+ PIN codes across 2,500+ cities with same-day, next-day and standard delivery, and you check serviceability for your pickup and delivery PIN codes before you ship.

Serviceability means whether a particular service can pick up from or deliver to a given PIN code. A destination that can receive deliveries doesn't automatically mean pickup from your address, COD for that order, or the speed you want, so check each one for the parcels you actually send.

Compare Offerings Against Your Own Orders

Pick five to ten typical orders: your usual box sizes, a nearby customer and a distant one, and both prepaid and COD orders. Check what your shortlisted logistics providers are offering. For each one, record:

  • Coverage: Can they pick up from your address and deliver to your customers' PIN codes?
  • Price: The quoted rate including tax, and any weight, remote-area or other surcharges.
  • COD: Is it available for that order, is there a fee, and when does the money reach your bank?
  • Returns (RTO): What you pay when a buyer refuses the parcel or can't be reached.
  • Upfront cash: Setup fee, monthly fee and minimum wallet balance, recorded separately from shipping costs.

Our guide on how to compare the full cost of a shipment explains why returns and surcharges can matter more than the starting rate. For pickup, COD and how to review your first batch, use our low-volume shipping checklist.

Use the Post Office for Routes a Courier Can't Serve

If private pickup isn't available from your address, or some customers live where a courier route doesn't reach, book those orders at your local post office. India Post offers free collection to corporate and bulk customers and COD to eligible sellers, so ask what you qualify for as an occasional sender. You don't have to send every order the same way: ship your serviceable routes through Shadowfax 360 and send the rest by post.

The Next Step

If a direct partner with national reach and no volume floor suits you, check Shadowfax 360's current shipping offer. Enter your pickup address and your usual delivery PIN codes, price your sample orders against the zone rates, and size your first wallet top-up to the parcels you plan to send.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will a courier reject me for shipping only a few parcels a week?

Some providers tie their rates to volume commitments. Shadowfax 360 has no minimum order requirement: you complete business verification, check serviceability for your routes and start booking.

Is the wallet balance a shipping cost?

No. Shipping charges are taken from it as you book. Any unused balance still affects your cash flow, so size each top-up to the parcels you expect to ship.

Does D+2 mean two days after I dispatch?

No. It means two business days after the parcel is successfully delivered, subject to banking timelines and settlement policies.

Is every Shadowfax 360 shipment ₹39?

No. ₹39* is the starting rate for eligible shipments. Your rate depends on the delivery zone and the current service conditions.
