As our order volumes grow across businesses, we are constantly looking for ways to ensure that our operations processes run smoothly and that our service quality stays top-notch. The month of August is marked by a few projects that will enable us to do just that. These projects span a few important aspects: Central Rider Allocation, Rider Rating, Order State Adherence and Rider Reached Time, among others. The Central Rider Allocation pilot is a breakthrough that’s paving the way for other developments too.
What is the pilot all about?
We launched the Central Rider Allocation pilot to achieve a reduced allotment time of Shadowfax Rider would reach the client outlet earlier, and the order would reach closure sooner.
What were the results like?

Bangalore (2 clusters) — The allot time was brought down to an average of 2.3 mins.

PAN Bangalore — A 3-min reduction with a current average of < 2.3 mins.

PAN India — Rider allot time was brought down by around 2.5 mins!
In July, we also launched a central portal for quick and simple allocations, that was built based on our learnings from the pilot. We also streamlined the rider location tracking process simultaneously.
The encouraging pilot performance figures have also enabled us to offer our clients better service, and ensuring our clients have no reason to worry.
So what’s next?

Recommended Rider: This new feature has been implemented to help our rider allocator quickly assign a rider, without a map!

Auto-allocation: As the Rider Recommender feature achieves accuracy; the next step will be rider auto-allocation.
These two features will significantly ease operations and smoothen out the process, making sure that we can spend more time on effective client and rider management. And that’s how we deliver on our promise of unmatched service.
